Katie is a long-time Kitsap County resident and graduated from South Kitsap. After high school, Katie attended Bel-Rea Institute in Denver, Colorado where she obtained her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She then worked at Littleton Equine Medical Center for several years after graduation as a field and hospital technician before the Pacific Northwest called her home.
Katie then worked at specialty and referral hospitals on the eastside in emergency and specialty small animal surgery honing her technical skills and managerial accoutrement before joining us here. She has a special fondness for all brachycephalic breeds as well as surgical and anesthesia cases. Katie has a diverse background in both equine and small animal patients and treats every patient as they are her own.
She lives in Port Orchard with her husband, Matt, and their four-legged family: Coleby, their Labrador Mix, Kona, their Bernese Mountain Dog, Daenerys and Arya, domestic long hair cats, Belle, a Palomino Paint Mare, and Blueberry, a Pinto Welsh cross Pony. In her free time, Katie enjoys riding her horse, attending Comic-Con’s and concerts with her Husband, cooking, wine tasting, and traveling.
