Dr. Amanda Craven

Dr. Amanda Craven has had an interest in veterinary medicine since she was very young. She grew up in a family full of animal lovers, riding and showing horses in 4-H and United States Pony Club. There was always a menagerie of animals in the household, including cats, dogs, horses, and small mammals!             Dr. Craven primarily grew up in the Midwest, where she attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for biochemistry. She was very active in the English equestrian team during her college career. Dr. Craven graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She completed a rotating equine private practice internship at Bend Equine Medical Center in Bend, Oregon. As her passion lies with internal medicine, including gastroenterology, neurology, and hospitalized patient care, she finished a 3-year residency (July 2022) in Large Animal Internal Medicine. at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

She joined as an associate veterinarian at Clover Valley Veterinary Services in September 2022, where she enjoys practicing with equine, small ruminants, and camelids. In her spare time, she enjoys trail riding with her two horses, KC, a Morgan/Arabian gelding, and Truman, a Haflinger gelding. She is planning to start limited-distance endurance riding in the spring. She also owns a beloved brown and white tabby cat, Mosby, and is looking forward to welcoming home an English Shepherd puppy this winter.
